Bryce is from the Cedar Rapids area, and before continuing on to college, he initially joined the United States Air Force as an Intelligence Analyst where he assisted in numerous military operations. While working in the U.S.A.F., Bryce also enrolled at the University of Iowa to study communication sciences and disorders. In 2021, he graduated with a BA in Speech and Hearing Sciences and separated from the U.S.A.F. as a Staff Sergeant.
Bryce plans on continuing his education in the pursuit of a Doctorate in Audiology but felt that it was best to get hands on experience before pushing on. He originally came to our clinic to perform observations but was moved by the patient care and people that came into the clinic - and those observation hours transformed into a full-time position.
In his free time, he takes on a number of activities. Whether it be cheering on the Hawkeyes during the fall, snowboarding in the winter, or exploring new countries in the summer… he never sits still for long!
Jonathan Stirn is Hope Hearing and Tinnitus Center's newest Audiologist. He is an Iowa native growing up in a small town along the Mississippi River. Jonathan initially graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Cornell College. Early on, he had quite the adventure in multiple careers working in a biology lab while owning & operating a food truck with his long-time friend on the weekends. Jonathan eventually discovered his true calling in healthcare. He returned to the University of Iowa and completed another Bachelor's degree in Speech & Hearing Science in 2018. Jonathan continued his graduate education at the University of Iowa and has just recently graduated with a Doctorate of Audiology while also completing a national program centered in leadership and education for the care of individuals with disabilities. He is excited to serve his future patients with a focus on patient-centered care. He believes that building trust through strong clinician-patient partnerships results in the best long-term success for the patients here at Hope Hearing!
In his free time, Jonathan is an avid traveler, hiker, and gardener. He loves traveling back to his hometown for time spent boating on the river. He loves finding new hiking trails with his two dogs, Cato and Apollo!
